June is Men’s Health Month and it's a great time to have a think about our health and how important it is, to start talking about it with our mates, families and doctors, and to do something for ourselves to be just a little bit healthier. The theme of Men’s Health Month NZ is #MenStartTalking.
When our economy is hit from worldwide events, this makes life more difficult for many of us. Some of us will be facing redundancy, a reduction in pay, a change of working hours, loss of invested money, the increased cost of living, or difficulty finding a job.
It’s a tense time for most of us. COVID-19 is scary, and it’s rapidly changing the way we work, socialise, shop and live. We know many people are feeling anxious, stressed, worried and scared. It’s time to work out how we’re going to look after our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of our family.
Living in isolation during COVID-19 has allowed us time away from the daily grind and living in autopilot to get through our days. It presents an opportunity for time to reflect on how we are currently living and working to achieve what’s important to you.
