We have been providing our members with access to private medical treatment since 1971. For over 40 years, we’ve built up a wealth of experience and understanding of what New Zealanders really need. This is reflected in the market-leading flexibility of our StaffCare+ products.
Accuro’s group health insurance allows you, the employer, the flexibility to choose a package that suits your employees and your budget. StaffCare+ consists of a base plan (Essential Care+) and four optional plans that can added to provide comprehensive health insurance cover: Specialist Care+, Everyday Care+, Natural Health Care+ or Dental and Optical Care+. Through implementing a group health insurance plan, you can offer your employees health cover as a benefit of being employed with your business – encouraging loyalty, retention and boosting morale. You can also include dependants and wha-ngai in this plan. We allow dependants and wha-ngai to have cover at dependant rates until their 25th birthday.
Essential Care+ base plan
The Essential Care+ base plan covers your employees for the larger expenses, including surgery (an operation or procedure to treat a disease or an illness) and private hospital admission (treatment in a private hospital without the need for surgery).
Your employees are covered for procedures including private hospital costs, surgeons’ fees, pre-operative and post-operative diagnostics, consultations and tests up to $300,000 per person per policy year.
Non-surgical cancer treatment
If your employees are diagnosed with cancer, they will be covered up to $25,000 per course of treatment to a yearly maximum of $65,000.
Private hospital admission
If your employees require admission to a private hospital but do not require surgery, they are covered up to $200,000 per person per policy year. These costs include diagnostics, consultations and tests within six months of admission to a private hospital.
Non-PHARMAC chemotherapy drugs
With our Essential Care+ base plan, your employees will receive a maximum payment of $10,000 for non-PHARMAC chemotherapy drugs per person per policy year.
Treatment outside New Zealand
With our Essential Care+ base plan, your employees are covered up to $30,000 per person per policy year for the costs of a medically necessary and recognised surgical procedure at an overseas hospital.
Major diagnostic procedures
The general and oral surgery benefit covers up to $300,000 per person per policy year and includes major diagnostic procedures such as angiograms, endoscopies, MRI scans, CT scans and/or MP scans, with or without admission to a private hospital.
Modules that can be added to help tailor your employee’s plan
The Specialist Care+ plan covers your employees for specialist consultations and a wide range of diagnostic tests that do not result in hospital admission.
Your employees are covered for specialist consultations such as visits to cardiologists, gynaecologists and ear, nose and throat specialists up to $4,000 per policy year.
Your employees are covered for diagnostic testing such as ultrasounds, bone density scans, mammograms and allergy testing up to $4,000 per policy year.
With our Specialist Care+ plan, there is no stand-down period, so your employees are able to make claims as soon as the plan is in place.
Second opinion benefit
Your employees can have the comfort of knowing they can get a second opinion from an alternative specialist to ensure they are getting the right treatment for them.
Your employees are rewarded for three years of continuous cover including cover of obstetrics for pregnancy up to $2,000 as well as melanoma checks.
Our Everyday Care+ plan is ideal for those seeking cover for more frequent healthcare costs. It covers your employees for doctor and nurse visits as well as prescriptions. There is no limit on the number of times they can visit.
Your employees can visit their doctor or even have a doctor visit them with this plan, allowing them up to $55 per clinic visit or $70 for each after-hours GP visit.
Your employees are covered for the cost of prescriptions up to $20 for each prescription, up to $400 per year.
Practice nurse visit and lab tests
Your employees are covered for the costs of a practice nurse visit up to $35 per visit, as well as lab tests as ordered by their GP or specialist, up to $80 per year.
Your employees are rewarded for three years of continuous cover including preventative mammograms and prostate checks. A stand-down period of 90 days applies.
Our Natural Health Care+ plan covers your employees for treatments by other health practitioners such as osteopaths, natural therapists and nutritionists.
Chiropractic and osteopath consultations
Your employees are covered for the costs of chiropractor and osteopath visits up to $45 per visit, up to $240 per policy year.
Other health practitioners
Your employees can have treatment from a number of health practitioners including physiotherapists, podiatrists, homeopaths, acupuncturists and nutritionists up to $45 per visit, up to $200 per policy year.
Your employees are rewarded for three years of continuous cover including flu vaccinations. A stand-down period of 90 days applies.
This plan is ideal if your employees make regular trips to their dentist or optometrist and covers 80% of the costs.
Your employees are covered for the costs of optometrist consultations up to $300 each per policy year as well as the costs of prescription glasses or contact lenses up to $300 per policy year.
With our Dental and Optical Care+ plan, your employees are covered for dental treatment up to $500 each policy year.
Your employees are rewarded for three years of continuous cover with the dental benefit being extended to include orthodontic treatment. A stand-down period of 90 days applies
