GP plan covers you for doctor and nurse visits, prescriptions as well as offering loyalty benefits like mammograms and prostate checks. The bonus is there's no limit on the number of times you can claim for doctor or nurse visits so there's no reason not to stay healthy.

Here are the benefits:

• Visits to your doctor - up to $55 a visit.
• Home visits by your doctor - up to $70 a visit.
• After-hours visits to your doctor - up to $70 a visit.
• Visits to a practice nurse - up to $35 a visit.
• Prescriptions - up to $20 for each item, up to $400 a year.
• Costs of lab tests - up to $80 a year.
• Preventative mammograms and prostate checks - once every three years, up to $200 each time.

There's a 90 day stand-down before a claim can be made but you won't pay any excess on claims with GP plan.
